Supporting Alzheimer's and Cognitive Impairment Research: A new NINR funding opportunity will support development of tools and interventions to assist caregivers in managing symptoms in individuals with Alzheimer's. A second explores biomarkers and imaging for early detection and prevention of mild cognitive impairment. The application deadline for both opportunities is May 21, 2012.
Three Outstanding Funding Opportunitites: NINR is now accepting applications for three outstanding research funding opportunities. Applications for Centers of Excellence for Symptoms Science Research (P20 and P30) are due by May 16. Applications for the T32 Award Program, one of NINR's premiere training grants for early-career scientists, are due by May 25.
NINR Seeks Postdoctoral Fellow, IRP Biobehavioral Unit: The Biobehavioral Unit of NINR's Intramural Research Program (IRP) seeks outstanding candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The Unit's clinical and translational research program seeks to better understand the immuno-genetic mechanisms of symptom distress in digestive and liver diseases.
NINR's Video Grantsmanship Workshop: NINR's workshop "Introduction to Research Grantsmanship for Early Career Nurse Scientists" is now available in video form. The workshop is designed to help pre- and post-doctoral students and early career nurse scientists learn the basics of grantsmanship at their own pace through a series of seven video modules.
