Innovative Questions: Pointing the Way Forward for Nursing Science

In 2011, NINR launched its current Strategic Plan to focus and further define NINR’s scientific agenda. Innovative Questions (IQ) is an exciting next step in the implementation of NINR’s Strategic Plan.

IQ is an interactive, collaborative initiative designed to stimulate a dialogue among the scientific community, professional organizations, and the public. NINR is interested in thoughts and ideas that will encourage new thinking and creativity in nursing science, explore unanswered questions, promote results-oriented research, and guide the science over the next 5 to 10 years.

The initiative consists of two components: NINR’s IQ Workshops and the IQ Website:

IQ Workshop Series

The IQ Workshop series will bring together leading scientists to identify innovative questions that could stimulate novel research in nursing science. The workshops will take place on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, Md. For more information, please visit www.ninr.nih.gov/IQworkshops.

IQ Website

On the IQ Website, members of the scientific community and the general public can contribute their innovative questions. To contribute, register on the NINR Innovative Questions website. Please submit your questions on or before July 31, 2014, 6 p.m. Pacific Time. After that time, no further questions or comments will be accepted on the IQ website.

Thank you for your participation.
