This summer, NINR welcomes a remarkable group of scholars who will bring their expertise to the Institute’s Division of Intramural Research (DIR) laboratories. These scholars include summer interns, Amgen Scholars, postdocs and postbacs, special volunteers, and participants in the Community College Summer Enrichment Program (CCESP), Graduate Partnership Program, and Summer Opportunities to Advance Research (SOAR).

As DIR training programs have continued to grow, NINR created a formal orientation for new students, fellows, and other trainees. This orientation, held on June 16, included an overview of nursing research and the Institute’s clinical activities and scientific themes, as well as information on training, education, and career development.

In addition to its three summer interns, NINR welcomes twelve scholars visiting NINR thorough a variety of NIH programs.
