A new NINR Clinical Trial Planning Grant (R34) is now available.

This funding opportunity announcement encourages applications that propose the complete planning, design, and preparation of the documentation necessary for implementation of investigator-initiated clinical trials. Applications should propose the developmental work to be performed that would enhance the probability of reaching definitive outcomes in a clinical trial.

The NINR Clinical Trial Planning Grant will support planning for clinical trials that address high-priority research questions related to NINR’s mission and goals. Sufficient pre-clinical data to support the planning of the clinical trial should be available prior to submission of the R34 grant application. The proposed trials should be hypothesis-driven and milestone-defined.

Please contact Dr. Karen Huss, NINR Program Director, for further discussion on how proposed clinical trial planning grants align with NINR’s mission and strategic plan.
