In the latest Director’s Message on the NINR website, Dr. Patricia A. Grady talks about the Science of Caregiving. NINR and its partners are hosting a two-day research summit to examine the importance of caregiving across the lifespan, as well as current and future directions for research to improve the health of patients and caregivers.
“The Science of Caregiving: Bringing Voices Together” Summit will provide perspectives across the spectrum of caregiving and bring together representatives of the research, advocacy, clinician, education, and caregiver communities.
“As in all areas of health and healthcare, improving our understanding of the science of caregiving will lead to better health outcomes and quality of life for patients and their caregivers,” said Dr. Grady in her recent message.
The summit will be held August 7–8, 2017 on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD. Ms. Judy Woodruff of PBS NewsHour is the keynote speaker and the event will include panels on various issues related to caregiving.
