Join us for a webinar about ongoing efforts at NINR in developing common data elements (CDEs). The webinar will address symptom and self-management science research including a proposed set of biomarkers to be used as CDEs. A discussion will follow for feedback on the proposed set of biomarkers. CDEs are increasingly being used by researchers to promote data sharing across studies. Given the importance of biomarkers to emerging symptom science, NINR center directors have identified a short list of biological CDEs to be recommended for inclusion in appropriate symptom science and self-management research studies.

Who Should Attend:
• NINR Center Directors
• Funded Investigators
• Associate Research Deans
• Faculty

Purpose:
• Define common data elements (CDEs)
• Describe ongoing initiatives at NIH regarding the development of CDEs
• Review NINR’s efforts and process in developing biomarker CDEs for self-management and symptom science research
• Discuss and gain feedback on proposed biomarkers as CDEs

Dates:
• May 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM (ET)
• May 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM (ET)

Registration is not required.
