NIH will host a Regional Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration October 26–28 in Chicago, IL. At the 2-day seminar, more than 60 NIH and HHS policy, review, program, and grants management officials will share the latest updates and guidance on NIH-wide programs, policies, and the NIH grants process.
During the two-day seminar, topics will range from finding the right funding opportunity and understanding the NIH peer review process, to pre- and post-award management and compliance issues. Attendees can also learn about the latest in tools and resources for applying for funding and managing awards. Special topic areas include humans and animals in research, intellectual property, rigor and reproducibility, and developing a biosketch. There are also sessions provided on the small-business and loan repayment programs, research integrity, financial conflict of interest, compliance, and more.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with NIH and HHS staff during “1:1 Meet the Experts” sessions. An optional pre-seminar workshop day is also offered to focus in-depth on specific topics.
