New cellular target for treating neuropathic pain

Summary: A team of scientists examining the mechanisms of neuropathy, or chronic pain due to nerve damage, after spinal cord injury (SCI) have identified a new role for a protein in the mouse nervous system that is associated with post-SCI pain, suggesting a new cellular target for developing and testing treatments for neuropathy.
