"Advances in nursing science have broadened our understanding of health and illness across the lifespan. Building on these accomplishments and NINR’s Strategic Plan, four themes have evolved to guide our future research: Symptom Science, Wellness, Self-Management, and End-of-Life and Palliative Care. Promoting innovation and supporting the development of the next generation of nurse scientists will conjoin these themes and be vital to the advancement of nursing science and health care now and in years to come."
