Learn more about NINR's Graduate Partnership Program in a video profile of a recent alumna who gained skills and experience to boost her research career in the program.

The program has been expanded to allow doctoral students at any school of nursing a chance to partcipate. The application deadline is January 31, 2012.

The training of scientists at all stages of their careers sustains the foundation for excellence in nursing science.  The development of a strong cadre of nurse investigators has been a primary goal of NINR since its establishment.  To continue to support advancements in science and improvements in health, it is essential that the scientific workforce of the future be innovative, multidisciplinary, and diverse.  NINR training programs—summer institutes, individual and institutional pre- and post-doctoral fellowships, and other Institute-sponsored intramural and extramural research and training opportunities—are designed to achieve this vision.

Training opportunities funded by NINR for trainees in the extramural community (outside of NIH) such as universities, medical centers, and hospitals. See the program announcement for other eligible institutions and individuals. Individuals must be citizens or non-citizen nationals of the US at the time of the award.  More...

As part of its 25th Anniversary Commemoration, NINR presented a workshop on "Introduction to Research Grantsmanship for Early Career Nurse Scientists" at regional nursing research conferences across the country. We are pleased to present these workshop presentations in video form. The workshop highlights NINR's mission of training the next generation of biomedical and biobehavioral nurse scientists. It is appropriate for pre- and post-doctoral students and early career nurse scientists.  More...
