On August 5th, 2026, 2:00 pm-3:00 pm [ET], Dr. Rachel Pozzar will deliver the 2nd Early-Stage Investigator (ESI) Lecture: Advancing Palliative Cancer Care.
This will be a virtual presentation where Dr. Pozzar will provide insights from her research focused on optimizing patient-centered communication and shared decision making to improve ovarian cancer care and health-related quality of life among people living with cancer. Dr. Pozzar will be joined by Dr. Abraham Brody, Assistant Dean for Transformational Excellence in Aging, Mathy Mezey Professor of Geriatric Nursing, Professor of Nursing and Medicine, NYU, who will serve as the discussant/moderator.
The NINR Early-Stage Investigator (ESI) Lectures bring emerging scientists from across the nation who are advancing nursing science in innovative and significant ways to share their work and interests with a transdisciplinary audience at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the broader biomedical research community.
