During this season of giving, we at the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) extend our heartfelt thanks to the nursing community, including nurse scientists, trainees, educators, nursing clinical partners, and the many teams who advance rigorous, solutions-focused research to improve health and prevent disease.
On June 11, 2025, NINR hosted the convening, Advancing Nursing Research to Support Healthy School Environments for All. The overall goal of the convening was to elevate the role of nursing research in promoting healthy school environments to improve health and prevent chronic disease for all students.
On June 2-3, 2025, NINR’s Artificial Intelligence Boot Camp explored the impact of AI on health, health research, and clinical practice. The goal of the bootcamp was to facilitate foundational understanding of AI principles, identify actionable steps to incorporate AI into research and clinical practice, and outline ethical considerations for AI adoption.
NINR hosted a SRI Faculty Convening as part of its 40th Anniversary Scientific Symposium that brought together nurse scientists and faculty from colleges and schools of nursing to discuss opportunities for advancing research that addresses the conditions of people’s lives to improve health and prevent disease.
NINR has published a new Notice of Funding Opportunity to support the development of innovative nursing-led research centers that foster community-partnered research to address persistent health challenges.
NINR will host a 40th Anniversary Scientific Symposium, titled “Advancing Nursing Science to Improve Health for All: NINR’s Impact” on September 17th, 2025, at the Masur Auditorium, NIH Clinical Center.
During this National Nurses Week, NINR proudly celebrates the power of nurses and their unwavering dedication and profound impact on the health of our nation.
NINR invites registrations to its Advancing Nursing Research to Support Healthy School Environments for All virtual meeting which will explore NINR's strategic imperative of school health and how nursing research can help with prevention and care coordination as well as address specific challenges in this critical setting.
NINR invites registrations for its 2025 Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp that will be held virtually from June 2-3, 2025. The event will explore the impact of AI in nursing research and clinical practice. Registration deadline: May 16.
