Small Business Program at NINR

NIH supports small business programs including the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs aimed at early-stage small businesses. One objective of the SBIR/STTR program is to increase private sector commercialization of innovations derived from federally supported research and development. For more on differences between SBIR and STTR, see the NIH comparison chart.

The Small Business Program at NINR provides technical and financial support for small businesses to develop new and innovative products, technologies, and services that improve health.
