Through the NIH Common Fund Community Partnerships to Advance Science for Society (ComPASS) program, NIH made 26 awards to community organizations and a coordinating center, totaling approximately $171 million over five years, pending the availability of funds. NINR is pleased to be administering the coordinating center award.

2023 Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) Challenge: Technologies to Empower Nurses in Community SettingsThe Design by Biomedical Undergraduate (DEBUT) Challenge is an annual contest that recognizes excellence in biomedical design and innovation. The challenge is open to teams of undergraduate students developing technologies to address unmet health care needs. NINR funds the 2023 DEBUT Challenge Technologies to Empower Nurses in Community Settings prize.
As part of the inaugural Climate and Health Scholars cohort, NINR has been honored to host Patrice Nicholas, DNSc, a teaching professor and director of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Profession’s Center for Climate Change, Climate Justice, and Health, and co-director for Policy and Advocacy at the MGH Center for the Environment and Health.
