87th Meeting of the National Advisory Council for Nursing Research
A Director's Lecture was held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 featuring Dr. MarySue Heilemann's presentation: “From the Silver Screen to the Web: Portrayals of Nursing in Media.”
The 86th meeting of the NACNR will be held on May 19-20, 2015, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST, in Building 31, C Wing, Conference Room 6C6 on the NIH campus. Visitors are welcome to attend.

NINR will host a briefing on the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, Dying in America: Improving Quality and Honoring Individual Preferences Near the End of Life.
National Advisory Council for Nursing Research (NACNR) provides the second level of review of grant applications, and recommends to the Institute Director which applications should be approved and considered for funding. Visitors are welcome to attend the open session.
Dr. Barbara Medoff-Cooper presented the second 2014 NINR Director's Lecture on September 20. In her talk, “Innovations in High-Risk Infant Care: Creating New Pathways,” Dr. Medoff-Cooper discussed her internationally recognized research on infant development, feeding behaviors in high-risk infants, infant temperament, and developmental care of infants with complex congenital heart disease.
Barbara J. Drew, RN, PhD, FAAN, FAHA will deliver the first of two NINR Director's Lectures for 2014. Her presentation, “Electrocardiographic Monitoring: Two Decades of Discovery,” will be held on May 20, 2014 from 10:30AM - 11:30AM in Natcher Balcony C.

Dr. Mary Woo, Professor at the UCLA School of Nursing, presented the third NINR Director's Lecture on May 21, 2013, discussing her research on brain-heart interactions in a lecture entitled “It's All in the Mind: Heart Failure and the Brain.”
